Maan said, "I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ along with my father and my grandfather. He proposed marriage on my behalf and arranged my marriage, and I once brought a dispute before him.My father Yazid had set aside some dinars to give in charity and placed them with a man in the mosque. I came and took them, then brought them to him. He said, 'By Allah, I did not intend them for you!'So I took the matter to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, 'You have what you intended, Yazid, and you keep what you took, Maan.'"
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Zakat (1422), from Muhammad bin Yusuf, who said, Israil told us, Abu Juwayriyah told us, that Maen bin Yazid narrated it to him, and he related it. His grandfather's name was Akhnas bin Habib Sulami.
