The Prophet ﷺ said, "If I had gold equal to Mount Uhud, I would love that not three days pass while I still have a single Dinar of it left, except for something I set aside to repay a debt, provided I find someone who will accept it."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: لو كان عندي أحد ذهبا لأحببت أن لا يأتي ثلاث، وعندي منه دينار- ليس شيء أرصده في دين علي- أجد من يقبله.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Wishing (7228) from Ishaq bin Nasr, who said, Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us, from Mamar, from Hammam, who heard Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ. He mentioned it.Muslim also related it in the Book of Zakat (991) through other chains from Abu Hurairah, with similar wording. His saying, "I set it aside," means "I prepared it."
