He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "On what is watered by rivers and clouds, a tenth is due, and on what is watered by irrigation animals, half a tenth."
أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يقول: فيما سقت الأنهار والغيم العشور، وفيما سقي بالسانية نصف العشر.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Zakat (981) through several routes from Ibn Wahb, from Amr bin Harith, that Abu Zubayr told him he heard Jabir bin Abdullah, and he mentioned it.His saying, "For what is watered by rivers and rain, a tenth is due." Al-Ushur, with a dammah on the ain, is the plural of ushr (a tenth), and al-ghaym here means rain.
