The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The earth consumes every part of the son of Adam except the tailbone. From it he was created, and from it he will be reassembled."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: كل ابن آدم تأكله الأرض إلا عجب الذنب، منه خلق، وفيه يركب.
Malik narrated it in the Book of Funerals (48), from Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, and he related the hadith. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Tribulations (2955/142) through another route, from Mughira Hizami, from Abu Zinad, with his chain of transmission, similarly.
