Reported by Abu Dawud (1047), Nasai (1374), and Ibn Majah (1636), all of them through the route of Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid bin Jabir, from Abu Ashath Sanani, from Aws bin Aws, and he narrated it. Its chain is sahih. Ibn Khuzayma (1733) and Ibn Hibban (910) graded it sahih, and Hakim (1/278) reported it through the route of Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid, likewise. Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criterion of Bukhari, though the two of them did not report it." This is not accurate, rather it meets the criterion of both Bukhari and Muslim according to him, for they both reported from all of its narrators, except that Bukhari did not report from Abu Ashath Sanani (whose name is Shurahbil bin Ada) except as a suspended report, and Hakim does not distinguish between a narrator being cited as a suspended report, or as a corroborating report, or as a primary report.In the same meaning is what was reported from Abu Darda, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Send abundant blessings upon me on Friday, for it is a day that is witnessed, which the angels attend, and no one sends blessings upon me but that his blessing is presented to me until he finishes it." He said, I said, "Even after death?" He said, "Even after death, for Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the prophets, and so the prophet of Allah is alive, provided for."Reported by Ibn Majah (1637), from Amr bin Sawad Misri, who said, Abdullah bin Wahb narrated to us, from Amr bin Harith, from Saeed bin Abu Hilal, from Zayd bin Aymen, from Ubada bin Nusai, from Abu Darda, and he narrated it.Busiri said, "This chain has narrators who are reliable, but it is broken in two places. The narration of Ubada bin Nusai from Abu Darda is a mursal report, as stated by Alai, and the narration of Zayd bin Aymen from Ubada bin Nusai is also a mursal report, as stated by Bukhari."
