When the Prophet ﷺ passed away, he was covered with a striped Yemeni cloak.
أن النبي ﷺ حين توفي سجي ببرد حبرة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Clothing (5814), and Muslim in the Book of Funerals (942), both from Abu Yaman, who said, Shuayb informed us, from Zuhri, who said, Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf informed me, that Ayesha informed him, and he mentioned it. Their wording is the same.His saying, "he was covered," means that his entire body was covered. And hibarah is a type of striped garment from Yemen.
