A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "How have you spent the morning?"He replied, "In good condition, better than a people who have not visited a sick person nor attended a funeral."
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: كيف أصبحتم؟ قال: بخير من قوم لم يعودوا مريضا ولم يشهدوا جنازة.

Abu Yaala (2168) reported it from Abdullah bin Umar bin Aban, who said, Muawiya bin Hisham told us, Sufyan told us, from Habib, from Ataa, from Ibn Abbas, and he related it.Haythami said in Majma (2/300), after attributing it to Abu Yaala, "Its isnad is hasan." And it is as he said, for Abdullah bin Umar bin Aban and his teacher Muawiya bin Hisham are both truthful narrators.Ibn Abu Shayba (6/147, edited by Lahham) also reported it, from Waki, from Sufyan, from Uthman Thaqafi, from Salim bin Abu Jaad, from Ibn Abbas, and he related it. Its isnad is sahih.As for what was reported from Jabir, who said, I asked, "How did you wake up this morning, Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Better off than a man who did not wake up fasting, and did not fall sick again," this is daif.Ibn Majah (3710) reported it from Abu Bakr, who said, Isa bin Yunus told us, from Abdullah bin Muslim, from Abdul-Rahman bin Sabit, from Jabir, and he related it. It is also in the Musannaf (6/147, edited by Lahham).Abdullah bin Muslim is Ibn Hurmuz Makki, whom the majority of scholars judged daif, and Abdul-Rahman bin Sabit is trustworthy, except that he transmits a great deal by way of unconnected reports. Ibn Main said, "It is a mursal report, he did not hear from Jabir," while Ibn Abu Hatim affirmed that he did.And Allah, the Exalted, knows best what is correct.
