The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever visits a sick person remains amid the harvest of Paradise until he returns."In another narration it was asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is the harvest of Paradise?"He replied, "Its ripe fruit."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من عاد مريضا لم يزل في خرفة الجنة حتى يرجع. وفي رواية: قيل يا رسول الله! وما خرفة الجنة؟ قال: جناها.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Righteousness and Kinship Ties (2568) through several routes from Abu Qilaba, from Abu Asma Rahbi, from Thawban, and he related it.Tirmidhi (967) said, Abu Affar and Asim Ahwal narrated this hadith from Abu Qilaba, from Abu Ashath, from Abu Asma, from Thawban, from the Prophet ﷺ, with similar wording. I heard Muhammad say, "Whoever narrates this hadith from Abu Ashath, from Abu Asma, has it more correctly." Muhammad also said, "The hadiths of Abu Qilaba are only from Abu Asma, except for this hadith, which in my view is from Abu Ashath, from Abu Asma." End of quote.Tirmidhi then narrated it (968) through the route of Asim Ahwal, which Bukhari had pointed to, and it is also found in Muslim (42/2568).His saying, "the harvest of Paradise," means the gathering of the fruits of Paradise. Abu Asma Rahbi's name was Amr bin Marthad.
