Muslim narrated it in the Book of Righteousness and Kinship (2636) through several routes, from Talq bin Muawiya Nakhai, Abu Ghiyath, from Abu Zura bin Amr bin Jareer, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. In another version she said, "O Messenger of Allah, he is ill, and I fear for him." Then she related the rest of the story. Perhaps this woman is Ruba, as she is mentioned in Musnad Imam Ahmad, in the hadith of Muhammad bin Sirin, as will come later.As for what Zuhayr bin Abu Alqama narrated, he said, "A woman from the Ansar came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a son of hers and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I have lost two sons besides this one.'" The Prophet ﷺ said, "You have indeed fortified yourself against the Fire with a strong fortification." This is mursal.Bazzar narrated it (858, Kashf) from Muhammad bin Muamar, who said, Hisham bin Abdul-Malik narrated to us, who said, Ubaydullah bin Iyad bin Luqayt narrated to us, from Zuhayr bin Abu Alqama, and he related it. Bazzar said, "We do not know of Zuhayr having a connected narration except this one." Haythami said in Majma (8/3), "Bazzar narrated it, and its men are trustworthy."I say, it is as he said. Zuhayr bin Abu Alqama, also called Zuhayr bin Alqama Bajali, or Nakhai, there is disagreement about whether he was a companion. Baghawi said, "I do not know of any companionship for him, except that they included him in the Musnad." Ibn Sakan said, "He has no companionship." Isabah (1/554).Bukhari narrated in Tarikh al-Kabir (3/426), through another route, from Ubaydullah bin Iyad, with his chain, similarly. He also narrated another hadith through the route of Aslam Minqari, from Zuhayr bin Alqama, in which the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah loves to see His favor's mark upon His servant." Hafiz said in Isabah, after citing this second hadith from Bukhari's Tarikh, "Bukhari said, I only see it as mursal." I did not find this statement of Bukhari's in the printed edition, perhaps it was in the copy he had.
