The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no woman among you who loses three of her children before they reach the age of accountability except that they will be a shield for her from the Fire."A woman asked, "And two?"He replied, "And two."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ما منكم امرأة تقدم ثلاثة من ولدها لم يبلغوا الحنث إلا كان لها حجابا من النار. فقالت امرأة: واثنين؟ فقال: واثنين.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Faith (102), and Muslim in the Book of Righteousness and Ties of Kinship (2634), from Muhammad bin Bashshar, who said, Muhammad bin Jafar Ghundar told us, who said, Shubah told us, from Abdul-Rahman bin Asbahani, who said, I heard Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned part of the hadith, namely his statement, "Three who had not reached the age of accountability." Both of them referred back to the hadith of Abu Saeed, and the hadith of Abu Hurairah has already been completed by the preceding hadith of Abu Saeed. What is noticeable in the hadith of Abu Saeed and Abu Hurairah is that Shubah relates it from Abdul-Rahman bin Asbahani through two chains of transmission, and Abdul-Rahman bin Asbahani added in his narration from Abu Hazim, "who had not reached the age of accountability." The meaning is that they died before reaching that age, since sin is only recorded after one reaches it.
