Bukhari narrated it in "Friday Prayer" (939), and Muslim in "Friday Prayer" (859), both from the hadith of Abdullah bin Maslama, who said, Abdul-Aziz bin Abu Hazim narrated to us, from his father, from Sahl, and he mentioned it. Their wordings are the same, except that the second narration was reported by Muslim alone, from Ali bin Hajar, from Abdul-Aziz, with the same chain.Bukhari also mentioned in another narration (938), from Abu Ghassan, who said, Abu Hazim narrated to me, from Sahl, who said, "There was a woman among us who used to plant beets along a watercourse on her farm. On Fridays she would pull up the beet roots and put them in a pot, then add to it a handful of barley which she would grind, so the beet roots became its broth. We would finish the Friday prayer, greet her, and she would bring that food near to us, and we would lick it up. We used to look forward to Friday for that food of hers."In another narration (2349) he added, "And we would not have our midday meal or take a nap except after the Friday prayer."
