Ayesha reported,

Aisha asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Has any day been harder upon you than the Day of Uhud?"The Prophet ﷺ then mentioned what he had suffered at the hands of her people and said, "I left distressed, not knowing where I was going, and I did not come to my senses until I found myself at Qarn al-Thaalib. I raised my head and saw a cloud shading me. I looked up and saw Jibreel . He called out to me and said, 'Muhammad, Allah has heard what your people said to you and how they rejected you. Allah has sent the Angel of the Mountains to you so that you may command him to do whatever you wish to them.'Then the Angel of the Mountains called out to me, greeted me with peace, and said, 'Muhammad, Allah has heard what your people said to you. I am the Angel of the Mountains, and your Lord has sent me to you so that you may give me your command…'" The hadith continues.

عن عائشة أم المؤمنين

أنها قالت للنبي ﷺ: هل أتى عليك يوم كان أشد من يوم أحد؟ فقال ﷺ: ذكر ما لقي من قومها وقال: انطلقت وأنا مهموم على وجهي، فلم أستفق إلا وأنا بقرن الثعالب، فرفعت رأسي فإذا بسحابة أظلتني، فنظرت فإذا جبريل عليه السلام، فناداني فقال: يا محمد، إن الله عز وجل قد سمع قول قومك لك وما ردوا عليك، وقد بعث الله مالك الجبال لتأمره بما شئت فيهم. قال: فناداني مالك الجبال، فسلم علي ثم قال: يا محمد، إن الله عز وجل قد سمع قول قومك لك، وأنا مالك الجبال، وقد بعثني ربك إليك، لتأمرني بأمرك… الحديث.
