The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever bathes on Friday and bathes thoroughly, purifies himself well, puts on his best clothes, applies whatever perfume his family has available, then comes to the Friday prayer without engaging in idle talk and without separating between two people, will be forgiven for what is between this Friday and the next."
عن النبي ﷺ، قال: من اغتسل يوم الجمعة فأحسن غسله، وتطهر فأحسن طهوره، ولبس من أحسن ثيابه، ومس ما كتب الله له من طيب أهله، ثم أتى الجمعة، ولم يلغ، ولم يفرق بين اثنين، غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة الأخرى.
Ibn Majah (1097) reported it through Yahya Qattan, from Muhammad bin Ajlan, from Saeed Maqburi, from his father, from Abdullah bin Wadiah, from Abu Dharr, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan, because of Ibn Ajlan, for he is truthful. Busiri said, "This chain is sahih, its narrators are trustworthy." Ibn Khuzayma (1763) also graded it sahih.
