The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever performs ghusl, then comes to the Friday prayer and prays as much as is decreed for him, then listens silently until the imam finishes his sermon, then prays with him, will be forgiven for what is between this Friday and the next, and three additional days."In another narration, "Whoever performs ablution and does it well, then comes to the Friday prayer and listens attentively in silence, will be forgiven for what is between this Friday and the next, with three additional days. And whoever touches the pebbles has engaged in idle conduct."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: من اغتسل ثم أتى الجمعة فصلى ما قدر له، ثم أنصت حتى يفرغ من خطبته، ثم يصلي معه غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة الأخرى، وفضل ثلاثة أيام. وفي رواية: من توضأ فأحسن الوضوء، ثم أتى الجمعة فاستمع وأنصت، غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة، وزيادة ثلاثة أيام، ومن مس الحصى فقد لغا.
Muslim narrated it in "the Friday Prayer" (857) from Umaya bin Bistam, he said, Yazid (meaning Ibn Zuray) narrated to us, he said, Rawh narrated to us, from Suhayl, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.The second narration was reported through Abu Muawiya, Muhammad bin Khazim, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah.
