Abu Hurairah reported,

Abu Hurairah said, I set out for Mount Tur, where I met Kaab al-Ahbar. I sat with him, and he told me from the Torah while I told him from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Among the things I told him, I said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. On it Adam was created, on it he was sent down from Paradise, on it his repentance was accepted, on it he died, and on it the Hour will come. There is no creature that does not listen attentively on Friday from morning until sunrise, out of dread of the Hour, except for jinn and humans. On it there is an hour during which no Muslim servant happens to be standing in prayer, asking Allah for something, except that He grants it to him.'"Kaab asked, "Is that one day each year?"I replied, "No, it is every Friday."Kaab then read the Torah and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has spoken the truth."Abu Hurairah continued, Then I met Basra bin Abu Basra al-Ghifari, and he asked, "Where have you come from?"I said, "From Mount Tur."He said, "Had I met you before you set out, you would not have gone. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Mounts should not be saddled for travel except to three mosques, the Sacred Mosque, this mosque of mine, and the Mosque of Ilya,' or 'Bayt al-Maqdis.'" He was uncertain which.Abu Hurairah continued, Then I met Abdullah bin Salam and told him about my sitting with Kaab al-Ahbar and what I had told him about Friday. I said, "Kaab said, 'That is one day each year.'"Abdullah bin Salam said, "Kaab is mistaken."I said, "Then Kaab read the Torah and said, 'Rather, it is every Friday.'"Abdullah bin Salam said, "Kaab has spoken the truth."Then Abdullah bin Salam said, "I know which hour it is."Abu Hurairah said, I said to him, "Tell me about it, and do not withhold it from me."Abdullah bin Salam said, "It is the final hour of Friday."Abu Hurairah said, I asked, "How can it be the final hour of Friday, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No Muslim servant happens upon it while he is praying,' and that hour is not an hour in which prayer is performed?"Abdullah bin Salam replied, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not say, 'Whoever sits in a place waiting for the prayer is in prayer until he prays'?"Abu Hurairah said, I answered, "Yes."He said, "That is it."

عن أبي هريرة أنه قال

خرجت إلى الطور، فلقيت كعب الأحبار، فجلست معه، فحدثني عن التوراة، وحدثته عن رسول الله ﷺ فكان فيما حدثته أن قلت: قال رسول الله ﷺ: خير يوم طلعت عليه الشمس يوم الجمعة، فيه خلق آدم، وفيه أهبط من الجنة، وفيه تيب عليه، وفيه مات، وفيه تقوم الساعة، وما من دابة إلا وهي مصيحة يوم الجمعة من حين تصبح حتى تطلع الشمس، شفقا من الساعة، إلا الجن والإنس، وفيه ساعة لا يصادفها عبد مسلم وهو يصلي يسأل الله شيئا إلا أعطاه إياه… قال كعب: ذلك في كل سنة يوم؟ فقلت: بل في كل جمعة. فقرأ كعب التوراة فقال: صدق رسول الله ﷺ. قال أبو هريرة: فلقيت بصرة بن أبي بصرة الغفاري، فقال: من أين أقبلت؟ فقلت: من الطور. فقال: لو أدركتك قبل أن تخرج إليه ما خرجت سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: لا تعمل المطي إلا إلى ثلاثة مساجد: المسجد الحرام، ومسجدي هذا، وإلى مسجد إيلياء، أو بيت المقدس. يشك. قال أبو هريرة: ثم لقيت عبد الله بن سلام فحدثته بمجلسي مع كعب الأحبار، وما حدثته به في يوم الجمعة، فقلت: قال كعب: ذلك في كل سنة يوم. قال: قال عبد الله بن سلام: كذب كعب. فقلت: ثم قرأ كعب التوراة فقال: بل في كل جمعة. فقال عبد الله ابن سلام: صدق كعب. ثم قال عبد الله بن سلام: قد علمت أية ساعة هي. قال أبو هريرة: فقلت له: أخبرني بها ولا تضن علي. فقال عبد الله بن سلام: هي آخر ساعة في يوم الجمعة. قال أبو هريرة: فقلت: وكيف تكون آخر ساعة يوم الجمعة، وقد قال رسول الله ﷺ: لا يصادفها عبد مسلم وهو يصلي. وتلك الساعة ساعة لا يصلى فيها؟ فقال عبد الله بن سلام: ألم يقول رسول الله ﷺ: من جلس مجلسا ينتظر الصلاة فهو في صلاة حتى يصلي؟ قال أبو هريرة: فقلت: بلى. قال: فهو ذلك.
