The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned Friday and said, "It contains an hour during which, if a Muslim servant happens to be standing in prayer asking Allah for something, Allah will surely grant it to him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gestured with his hand to indicate how brief that hour is.
أن رسول الله ﷺ ذكر يوم الجمعة فقال: فيها ساعة لا يوافقها عبد مسلم وهو قائم يصلي، يسأل الله شيئا إلا أعطاه إياه. وأشار رسول الله ﷺ بيده يقللها.
Malik narrated it in the Jumua chapter (15) from Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, as mentioned. Bukhari narrated it in the Jumua chapter (935) from Abdullah bin Maslama, and Muslim narrated it in the Jumua chapter (852) from Yahya bin Yahya, both of them from Malik.His saying, "he minimizes it," means that it is a brief hour, as in the hadith that follows.
