Mahmud bin Labeed reported,

The sun was eclipsed on the day that Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, died, and people said, "The sun has been eclipsed because of Ibrahim's death."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun and the moon are two of Allah's signs. They are not eclipsed for anyone's death or anyone's birth. So when you see them like that, hasten to the mosques."Then he stood and recited, as far as we could tell, part of "Alif Lam Ra. A Book" [Ibrahim 14:1]. Then he bowed, then straightened up, then made two prostrations. Then he stood again and did just as he had done in the first cycle.
