When the emigrants who had gone to Abyssinia returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, "Will you not tell me about the most remarkable things you saw in the land of Abyssinia?"Some young men among them said, "Certainly, Messenger of Allah. While we were sitting, an old woman, one of their nuns, passed by us carrying a jar of water on her head. She passed by one of their young men, who placed one of his hands between her shoulders and shoved her. She fell to her knees and her jar broke. When she got up, she turned to him and said, 'You will know, you treacherous one, when Allah sets up His Throne and gathers together the first and the last, and the hands and feet speak of what they used to earn, you will know then how my case and your case will stand before Him tomorrow.'"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "She spoke the truth, she spoke the truth. How can Allah sanctify a nation in which the weak cannot take their right from the strong?"
Ibn Majah (4010), Ibn Hibban (5058), and Ibn Abu Dunya in al-Ahwal (242) all narrated it through the route of Abdullah bin Uthman bin Khuthaym, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who said, and then he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abdullah bin Uthman bin Khuthaym, for he is hasan al-hadith. Dhahabi mentioned it in al-Uluw (179) and said, "Its chain of transmission is sound."
