Tirmidhi (475) narrated it from Abu Jafar Samnani, who said, Abu Mishar told us, Ismail bin Ayyash told us, from Buhayr bin Saad, from Khalid bin Madan, from Jubayr bin Nufayr, from Abu Darda and Abu Dharr, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Ismail bin Ayyash, for he is truthful in his narration from the people of his own land, and Buhayr bin Saad is from his land, being from Homs in Syria. Tirmidhi said, "Hasan gharib."Imam Ahmad (27480) also narrated it through another route, from Abu Mughira, who said, Safwan told us, who said, Shurayh bin Ubayd Hadrami and others told me, from Abu Darda, similarly. Haythami (3410) said, Ahmad narrated it and its men are trustworthy. I say, it is as he said, except that it contains a break in the chain, for Shurayh bin Ubayd did not hear from Abu Darda.
