Tabarani related it in Al-Awsat (7990) from Musa bin Harun, who said, Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahib Harithi told us, who said, Abu Shihab Hannat told us, from Awf, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Saeed, and he related it.Bazzar also related it, Kashf Astar (686), from Ibrahim bin Hani, from Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahib, in abridged form, with the wording, "The Prophet ﷺ used to combine the two prayers while traveling." He said, "We do not know of it from Abu Saeed except through this route, and Muhammad is thiqah, well known for his devotion to worship."Haythami said in Al-Majma (2/159), "Tabarani related it in Al-Awsat and said, Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab Harithi related it alone. Bazzar related it in abridged form and said, Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab is thiqah, well known for his devotion to worship. I say, the rest of his men are thiqat." End of quote.I say, it has not become clear to me which is correct, Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab or Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahib. But whichever it is, Bazzar affirmed his reliability as thiqah, and the rest of the men are thiqat, as Haythami said. Ibn Hibban gave him a biographical entry in Ath-Thiqat (9/83), where he said, Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab. So that should be consulted.
