Nasai (1743) narrated it from Bishr bin Khalid, who said, Shababa narrated to us, from Shuba, from Qatada, from Zurara bin Awfa, from Imran bin Husayn, and he related it.Abu Abdul-Rahman Nasai said, I do not know of anyone who corroborated Shababa on this hadith, Yahya bin Saeed contradicted him. End of quote.I say, Shababa is trustworthy and a hafiz, so his being alone in narrating it, without corroboration, does not harm it. As for the hadith of Yahya bin Saeed, it is a different hadith despite sharing the same chain of transmission, and such a discrepancy does not cause harm. The hadith of Yahya bin Saeed, from Shuba, from Qatada, from Zurara, from Imran bin Husayn, was mentioned earlier, that the Prophet ﷺ prayed Dhuhr, and a man came and recited behind him, "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" [Ala 87:1]. When he finished, he said, "Which of you recited?" A man said, "I did." He said, "I knew that one of you had confused me in it." This is found in Sahih Muslim (398).
