Malik narrated it in Quran (30) from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Abdullah Aghar and Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. Bukhari narrated it in tahajjud (1145) from Abdullah bin Maslama, and Muslim narrated it in the prayer of travelers (758) from Yahya bin Yahya, both of them from Malik with the same wording.Muslim also narrated it through other chains of transmission. Among them is a hadith from Suhayl bin Abu Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, attributed directly to the Prophet, who said, "Allah descends to the lowest heaven every night when the first third of the night has passed, and He says, 'I am the King. I am the King. Who calls upon Me that I may answer him? Who asks Me that I may give him? Who seeks My forgiveness that I may forgive him?' He continues like that until dawn breaks."Among them also is the hadith of Uzai, from Yahya, "Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman told us, from Abu Hurairah, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When half the night has passed, or two thirds of it, Allah descends to the lowest heaven and says, "Is there anyone asking, that he may be given? Is there anyone calling, that he may be answered? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness, that he may be forgiven?" until dawn breaks.'"Among them also is the hadith of Mahadir Abu Muwarri, "Saad bin Saeed told us, he said, Ibn Marjana informed me, he said, I heard Abu Hurairah say, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Allah descends to the lowest heaven at the middle of the night, or during the last third of the night, and says, "Who calls upon Me that I may answer him, or who asks Me that I may give him?" Then He says, "Who will lend to One who is neither insolvent nor unjust?"'"Muslim said, Ibn Marjana is Saeed bin Abdullah, and Marjana is his mother. Sulayman bin Bilal narrated it from Saad bin Saeed with this chain of transmission, and he added, "Then He stretches out His hands and says, 'Who will lend to One who is neither insolvent nor unjust?'"Among them also is the hadith of Mansur, from Abu Ishaq, from Aghar Abu Muslim, who narrates it from Abu Saeed and Abu Hurairah, who both said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah grants a delay until, when the first third of the night has passed, He descends to the lowest heaven and says, 'Is there anyone seeking forgiveness? Is there anyone repenting? Is there anyone asking? Is there anyone calling?' until dawn breaks."Shuba narrated it from Abu Ishaq with this chain of transmission, except that Mansur's version is more complete and fuller. This concludes what is found in Sahih Muslim.Tirmidhi (446) said, after narrating it through the hadith of Suhayl bin Abu Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, "This hadith has been narrated through many routes, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, and it has been narrated from him that he said, 'Allah descends when the last third of the night remains,' and this is the most sahih of the narrations."See the rest of the hadiths on the descent of the Lord in the book of Faith and Supplications.
