The Prophet ﷺ spent an entire night in prayer reciting a single verse of the Quran.
قام النبي ﷺ بآية من القرآن ليلة.
Tirmidhi (448) narrated it from Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Nafi Basri, who said, our teacher Abdul-Samad bin Abdul-Warith narrated to us, from Ismail bin Muslim Abdi, from Abu Mutawakkil Naji, from Ayesha, who said, and then he mentioned it. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith from this angle." His saying "hasan" falls short here, and the correct view is that it is sahih.I say, Abu Bakr is Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Nafi Abdi Basri, well known by his kunya, and he is attributed to his grandfather. He is among the men cited by Muslim. The rest of the men are also men cited in the Sahih. It is corroborated by the hadith of Abu Dharr that follows.
