The Prophet ﷺ said, "Saying tasbih is for men, and clapping is for women."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: التسبيح للرجال، والتصفيق للنساء.
Bukhari narrated it in "Actions During Prayer" (1203), and Muslim in "Prayer" (422), both through Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Zuhri, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned the same. In a version reported by Muslim, Ibn Shihab said, "I have seen men of knowledge say 'subhanallah' and gesture."
