The Prophet ﷺ came out when the prayer had been called to begin, and he saw some people hurriedly performing two units of prayer. He said, "Two prayers at once?" Then he forbade praying inside the mosque once the prayer had been called.
خرج النبي ﷺ حين أقيمت الصلاة، فرأى ناسا يصلون ركعتين بالعجلة، فقال: أصلاتان معا؟ فنهى أن يصلى في المسجد إذا أقيمت الصلاة.

Ibn Khuzayma narrated it (1126) from Ali bin Hajar Saadi with a report that is odd, odd. He said, Muhammad bin Ammar, meaning al-Ansari, narrated to us, from Sharik bin Abdullah, who is Ibn Abu Nimr, from Anas, who said, then he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Ibn Abu Nimr, for although he is among the narrators relied upon by the two Sahihs, there is disagreement about him, and the conclusion is that he is "truthful but makes mistakes."Bazzar narrated it via the route of Ibn Abu Nimr with the same wording, and stated that this occurred during the Fajr prayer.This hadith has been narrated both as marfu and as mursal. As for the marfu version, it is as I have mentioned. Malik narrated it in the chapter on night prayer (31) from Sharik bin Abdullah bin Abu Nimr, from Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, who said that some people heard the call to begin the prayer and stood up to pray, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to them and said, "Two prayers together? Two prayers together?" This was during the Fajr prayer, concerning the two rakats before Fajr. End of quotation.Ibn Abdul-Barr said in Istidhkar (5/302), "Walid bin Muslim narrated it from Malik and connected it as a musnad narration from Anas, but the correct version is that it comes from Malik as mursal." This is as he said, for it has been narrated from Malik as mursal, and from others as both marfu and mursal.Ibn Khuzayma said, "This report was narrated by Malik bin Anas and Ismail bin Jafar from Sharik bin Abu Nimr, from Abu Salama, as mursal. Ibrahim bin Tahman narrated from Sharik both reports together, from Anas and from Abu Salama. Muhammad bin Aqeel narrated both of them to us, Hafs bin Abdullah narrated to us, Ibrahim bin Tahman narrated to us, with the two chains kept separate, the report of Anas on its own, and the report of Abu Salama on its own."
