Ahmad (24381) recorded it, saying, Abdullah bin Walid told us, Sufyan told us, from Usama, from Abdullah bin Urwa, from Urwa, from Ayesha, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Usama, who is Ibn Zayd Laythi, their freedman, about whom there is disagreement. Nasai said, "He is not strong." Abu Hatim said, "His hadith is written down." Ajli deemed him reliable. Ibn Hibban said, "He makes mistakes, but his affair is sound and his book is sahih."I say, someone like him, his hadith is graded hasan. But perhaps one of his errors is that he sometimes named his teacher Abdullah bin Urwa, as here, and other times Uthman bin Urwa, as with Ibn Khuzayma (1550), Abd bin Humayd (1513), and Hakim (1/214), who said, "Sahih according to the criterion of Muslim, though the two of them did not record it," except that both chains are sahih.Perhaps another of his errors is what Abu Dawud (676) and Ibn Majah (1005) both recorded, from the hadith of Usama, from Uthman bin Urwa, with this wording, "Allah and His angels bless those on the right sides of the rows," for what is preserved with this chain is what was mentioned earlier.As for what Ibn Majah (995) recorded from Hisham bin Ammar, who said, Ismail bin Ayyash told us, who said, Hisham bin Urwa told us, from his father, from Ayesha, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah and His angels bless those who fill in the rows, and whoever closes a gap, Allah raises him a degree because of it," its chain is daif because of Ismail bin Ayyash Himsi, for his narration from those who are not from his own region is daif, as is well known, and Hisham bin Urwa was from the people of Hijaz.
