The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to recite the Muawwidhat after every prayer.
أمرني رسول الله ﷺ أن أقرأ المعوذات دبر كل صلاة.
Abu Dawud (1523) and Nasai (1336) both narrated it from Muhammad bin Salama Muradi, who said, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, from Layth bin Saad, that Hunayn bin Abu Hakeem told him, from Ali bin Rabah, from Uqba bin Amir, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Hunayn bin Abu Hakeem Umawi, for he is "truthful". Ibn Khuzayma (755) and Hakim (1/253) graded it sahih, both of them transmitting it through the route of Layth bin Saad with this same chain of transmission, similarly.Tirmidhi (2903) also transmitted it from Qutayba bin Saeed, who said, Ibn Lahia narrated to us, from Yazid bin Abu Habib, from Ali bin Rabah, similarly. He said, "Hasan gharib."I say, there is well-known discussion regarding Ibn Lahia, but the one narrating from him here is Qutayba bin Saeed.
