Imam Ahmad narrated it (24215). He said, "Ismail told us, Muhammad bin Ishaq told us, he said, Abdul-Wahid bin Hamza bin Abdullah bin Zubayr told me, from Abbad bin Abdullah bin Zubayr, from Ayesha," and she related the hadith.Its isnad is hasan, because of Muhammad bin Ishaq, who is a mudallis, but he explicitly stated "he told me" rather than using an ambiguous form.Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih (849) after narrating it via the route of Ismail, who is Ibn Ulaya, and Hakim (1/57, 255) after narrating it via the route of Imam Ahmad, saying, "Sahih according to the criterion of Muslim, though the two of them (Bukhari and Muslim) did not include it with this wording, they only agreed on the hadith of Ibn Abu Mulayka, from Ayesha, that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Whoever is closely examined in the reckoning will be punished.'"Tabarani, in Awsat (3662), narrated it via the route of Muhammad bin Maslama, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, from Yahya bin Urwa bin Zubayr, from his father, from Ayesha, and she related the hadith without his statement "during some of his prayer." Tabarani said, "No one narrated this hadith from Yahya bin Urwa except Muhammad bin Ishaq, and Muhammad bin Maslama alone narrated it from him."I say, the matter is not as he said, for Ismail bin Ulaya also narrated it from Muhammad bin Ishaq, just as Yahya bin Urwa was not alone in narrating it, since Abdul-Wahid bin Hamza corroborated him, and just as Muhammad bin Ishaq was not alone in narrating it, since Abdul-Wahid bin Ziyad corroborated him.Imam Ahmad narrated it (25515) from Yunus bin Muhammad, from him, who said, "Abdul-Wahid bin Hamza bin Abdullah bin Zubayr told us, he said, I heard Abbad bin Zubayr say, I heard the Mother of the Believers Ayesha say, I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the easy reckoning. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is the easy reckoning?' He said, 'It is that a man's sins are presented to him, and then he is excused from them. Whoever is closely examined in the reckoning will perish, and no servant is afflicted by a thorn-prick or anything greater except that Allah thereby wipes away some of his sins.'"Abdul-Wahid bin Ziyad is trustworthy, one of the narrators used by the major hadith compilers, and although his wording differs, the essence of the hadith is the same.
