They asked, "Messenger of Allah, how should we send blessings upon you?"He said, "Say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, his wives, and his offspring, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim. And bestow Your grace upon Muhammad, his wives, and his offspring, as You bestowed Your grace upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.'"
قالوا: يا رسول الله كيف تصلي عليك؟ فقال: قولوا: اللهم صل على محمد وأزواجه وذريته، كما صليت على آل إبراهيم، وبارك على محمد وأزواجه وذريته، كما باركت على آل إبراهيم، إنك حميد مجيد.
Malik narrated it in Qasr Salah (66), from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr bin Hazm, from his father, from Amr bin Salim Zarqi, who said, Abu Humayd Saadi informed me, and he mentioned it.Bukhari narrated it in Ahadith Anbiya (3369), and Muslim in Salah (407), both through the route of Malik bin Anas, with the same wording.
