I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and saw him raise his hands when he began the prayer until they were level with his shoulders, and again when he intended to bow. When he sat after two rakahs, he laid his left foot flat and kept his right foot upright, placed his right hand on his right thigh and pointed his finger in supplication, and placed his left hand on his left thigh. He said, "Then I came to them the following year and saw them raising their hands from inside their cloaks."
Nasai (1159) narrated it from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Yazid Muqri, who said, Sufyan told us, who said, Asim bin Kulayb told us, from his father, from Waail bin Hajar, and he related it. Its chain is hasan because of Asim bin Kulayb, for his hadith is hasan. In a narration from someone other than Sufyan, "Then he sat and spread out his left foot."
