Awf bin Malik reported,

I stood in prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night. He stood and recited Surah al-Baqarah. He did not pass a verse of mercy without pausing to ask, nor a verse of punishment without pausing to seek refuge. Then he bowed for as long as he had stood, saying in his bowing, "Glory be to the Possessor of dominion, sovereignty, majesty, and grandeur."Then he prostrated for as long as he had stood, saying the same in his prostration. Then he stood and recited Surah Aal Imran, then he recited surah after surah.
