The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say in his bowing and prostration, "Glorious, Holy, Lord of the angels and the Spirit."
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يقول في ركوعه وسجود سبوح قدوس رب الملائكة والروح.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Prayer (487), from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, from Muhammad bin Bishr Abdi, from Saeed bin Abu Aruba, from Qatada, from Mutarrif bin Abdullah bin Shikhir, that Ayesha informed him, and he mentioned the hadith.The meaning of Subbuh is the one free from all deficiencies and partners, and from everything unbefitting divinity. The meaning of Quddus is the one purified from everything unbefitting the Creator.
