The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite the short surahs of the Mufassal in the Maghrib prayer.
كان رسول الله ﷺ يقرأ في المغرب بقصار المفصل.
Tahawi narrated it in Sharh Maani (1243) from the hadith of Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, who said, Zayd bin Hubab narrated to us, who said, Dahhak bin Uthman narrated to us, who said, Bukayr bin Ashaj narrated to me, from Sulayman bin Yasar, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan.
