A man came and joined the prayer row while out of breath, and he said, "Praise be to Allah, abundant, good, and blessed praise."When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, he asked, "Which of you spoke those words?"The people remained silent. He asked again, "Which of you spoke them? He has said nothing wrong."A man replied, "I came out of breath and said them."The Prophet ﷺ said, "I saw twelve angels rushing to see which of them would carry those words up."
Muslim reported it in the Book of Mosques (600) from the hadith of Qatada, Thabit, and Humayd, from Anas, and he mentioned it. His saying, "so the people fell silent (fa-aramma al-qawm)" means they fell silent.
