Abu Saeed led us in prayer and pronounced the takbeer aloud when he raised his head from prostration, when he prostrated, when he rose, and when he stood up after the first two units. He said, "This is how I saw the Prophet ﷺ do it."
صلى لنا أبو سعيد فجهر بالتكبير حين رفع رأسه من السجود، وحين سجد، وحين رفع، وحين قام من الركعتين، وقال: هكذا رأيت النبي ﷺ.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan (825), from Yahya bin Salih, who said, Fulayh bin Sulayman narrated to us, from Saeed bin Harith, and he mentioned it.Imam Ahmad (11140) and Ibn Khuzayma (580) both narrated it from the hadith of Abu Amir, who said, Fulayh bin Sulayman narrated to us, and he mentioned the hadith. It contains a story, which is,From Saeed bin Harith, who said, Abu Hurairah fell ill, or was absent, so Abu Saeed Khudri led us in prayer, and he raised his voice with the takbir when he opened the prayer, and when he bowed, and when he said, "Allah hears whoever praises Him," and when he raised his head from the sujud, and when he prostrated, and when he stood between the two prostrations, until he completed his prayer in that manner.When he finished praying, he was told, "The people have disagreed about your prayer." So he went out and stood by the pulpit and said, "O people, by Allah, I do not care whether you disagree about it or not, this is how I saw the Prophet ﷺ pray."
