The Prophet ﷺ would pray the sunset prayer, and some men from the tribe of Banu Salama would pray with him. Then they would head back to Banu Salama while they could still see where their arrows landed.
أن النبي ﷺ كان يصلي المغرب، فيصلي معه رجال من بني سلمة، ثم ينصرفون إلى بني سلمة، وهم يبصرون مواقع النبل.

Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir (19/62) and in Al-Awsat "Majma Bahrayn" (564), from Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Bara, who said, Muafi bin Sulayman narrated to us, who said, Musa bin Ayun narrated to us, from Ishaq bin Rashid, from Zuhri, who said, Ibn Kaab bin Malik informed me, from his father, and he related the hadith.He said in Al-Awsat, "No one narrated it from Ishaq except Musa."I say, Ishaq bin Rashid, although he is among the men cited by Bukhari, was not particularly strong in his transmission from Zuhri. Ibn Main said, in the narration of Ibn Junayd, "He is not that reliable regarding Zuhri." Ibn Khuzayma said, "His hadith cannot be relied upon as proof." Abu Hatim said, "A shaykh." Nasai said, "There is no harm in him." Yaqub Fasawi said, "Sound in hadith."The summary is that his hadith is graded hasan.Haythami said in Al-Majma (1/311), "Its narrators are trustworthy."I say, it is as he said, except for Muafi bin Sulayman, who is truthful. As for Ibn Kaab bin Malik, he is either Abdullah or Abdul-Rahman, and both of them are trustworthy.
