The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would sleep until he was breathing audibly, then he would get up and pray without performing ablution.Tanafisi said that Waki explained, "She means while he was in prostration."
كان رسول الله ﷺ ينام حتى ينفخ، ثم يقوم فيصلي ولا يتوضا. قال الطنافسي: قال وكيع: تعني وهو ساجد.
Ibn Majah (474) reported it, he said, Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba and Ali bin Muhammad told us, they said, Waki told us, Amash told us, from Ibrahim, from Aswad, from Ayesha, and he related the hadith.The hadith is also in Musannaf Ibn Abu Shayba (1/132), and its chain of transmission is sahih. Ibrahim is Ibn Yazid Nakhai, the jurist. Ali bin Muhammad is Ibn Ishaq Tanafisi, with a fatha on the plain ta, a light nun, and after the alif a kasra on the fa, he was trustworthy and devout.
