The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every person of the Fire will see his place in Paradise, and it will be a source of regret for him, so he will say, 'If only Allah had guided me, I would have been among the righteous' [Zumar 39:57]. And every person of Paradise will see his place in the Fire and will say, 'We would never have been guided had Allah not guided us' [Araf 7:43], and this will be a cause of gratitude for him."He said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, "There is no one who does not have a place in Paradise and a place in the Fire. The disbeliever inherits the believer's place in the Fire, and the believer inherits the disbeliever's place in Paradise. That is the meaning of His saying, 'This is the Paradise which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do' [Zukhruf 43:72]."
Ibn Abu Hatim narrated it in his tafsir, as cited in Tafsir Ibn Kathir (7/240), from Fadl bin Shazan Muqri, who said, Yusuf bin Yaqub, that is, Saffar, narrated to us, who said, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash narrated to us, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Ahmad (10652), Nasai in Kubra (11390), and Hakim (2/435–436) narrated it through other routes from Abu Bakr bin Ayyash in similar fashion, limiting it to the first part. Its chain is hasan because of Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, for his hadith is hasan.Hakim said, "This is a sahih hadith according to the criteria of the two sheikhs."
