We said to Ammar, "Tell us about your fighting. Was it based on your own opinion, since opinion can be right or wrong, or was it something the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entrusted to you?"Ammar replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not entrust anything to us specifically that he did not entrust to all people."He then said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Among my Ummah there are twelve hypocrites who will not enter Paradise nor smell its fragrance, until a camel passes through the eye of a needle. Eight of them will be sufficed by the dubaylah, a lamp of fire that will appear on their shoulders and break out through their chests.'"
Muslim narrated it in the Attributes of the Hypocrites (2779) through several routes from Muhammad bin Jafar, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Qatada, from Abu Nadra, from Qays bin Abbad, who said, then he mentioned it.
