We asked Abdullah about this verse, "And do not think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision" [Aal Imran 3:169].He said, "We have indeed asked about that, and he said, 'Their souls are inside green birds that have lanterns suspended from the Throne.
