The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will be people in the Fire for as long as Allah wills, then Allah will have mercy on them and bring them out. They will be placed in the lowest part of Paradise, where they will bathe in the river of life. The people of Paradise will call them the Jahannamis. If one of them were to host all the people of this world, he would feed them, give them drink, clothe them, and furnish bedding for them."The narrator said, "I believe he also said, 'and provide them with spouses, without any of that diminishing what he has in the slightest.'"
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: يكون في النار قوم ما شاء الله، ثم يرحمهم الله فيخرجهم، فيكونون في أدنى الجنة، فيغتسلون في نهر الحياة، ويسميهم أهل الجنة الجهنميين، لو أضاف أحدهم أهل الدنيا لأطعمهم وسقاهم، ولحفهم وفرشهم قال: - وأحسبه قال: وزوجهم لا ينقص ذلك مما عنده شيئا.
Ahmad (4337), Abu Yaala (4979) — this being his wording —, Ibn Hibban (7428), and Abu Naeem in Sifat al-Jannah (448) all narrated it through various routes from Hammad bin Salama, from Ata bin Saaib, from Amr bin Maymun, from Ibn Masud, who mentioned it.Its chain is sahih. Ata bin Saaib was deemed reliable by the leading scholars, though he became confused in his later years, but Hammad bin Salama's hearing from him took place before this confusion set in.
