We were conversing with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night until we ran out of talk, then we returned to our families. When morning came, we went early to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said:"The prophets were shown to me along with their nations and their followers from among their nations. A prophet would pass by with three from his nation, another prophet with a small band from his nation, another prophet with a few men from his nation, another prophet with only one man from his nation, and another prophet with no one at all from his nation, until Musa bin Imran ﷺ passed by me with a great multitude of the Children of Israil. When I saw them, they amazed me, and I said, 'Lord, who are these?' He said, 'This is your brother Musa bin Imran and those with him from the Children of Israil.' I said, 'Lord, then where is my nation?' He said, 'Look to your right.' I looked, and there were the small hills of Makkah, completely filled with the faces of men. I said, 'Who are these, Lord?' He said, 'Your nation.' I said, 'I am pleased, Lord.' He said, 'Are you pleased?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Look to your left.' I looked, and the horizon was filled with the faces of men. He said, 'Are you pleased?' I said, 'I am pleased.' It was said, 'Along with these are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without any reckoning.'"Then Ukkashah bin Mihsan, one of the Banu Asad bin Khuzaymah, stood up and said, "Prophet of Allah, ask Allah to make me one of them."He said, "O Allah, make him one of them."Then another man stood up and said, "Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to make me one of them."He said, "Ukkashah has beaten you to it."
Ahmad (3989) narrated it from Muhammad bin Bakr, who said, Saeed informed us, from Qatada, from Hasan, and Ala bin Ziyad, from Imran bin Husayn, from Abdullah bin Masud, and he mentioned it.Saeed here is Ibn Abu Aruba, and he has been corroborated in Ahmad (3806, 3988). The tadlis of Hasan does not cause harm here, since he too has been corroborated.
