"Lift the curtain of the tent from me so I may relate to you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, 'Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah, sincerely from his heart, or with certainty in his heart, will enter Paradise and the Fire will not touch him.'"
Ahmad (22060), Humaydi (369), and Tabarani in al-Kabir (20/41) all narrated it through the route of Ibn Uyayna, from Amr bin Dinar, who said, I heard Jabir bin Abdullah say, Someone who was present with Muaz bin Jabal when death came to him told me that he said, then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. The most likely explanation is that the unnamed intermediary between Jabir and Muaz was a companion, and it would not be unlikely for him to be Anas bin Malik, as in the preceding hadith. As for what appears in Abu Naeem's book Sifat al-Jannah (49) and elsewhere, that Jabir heard it directly from Muaz, this is unlikely, because Muaz died in Syria in the year 18 AH, while Jabir was residing in Madinah.
