A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Muhammad, tell me, if Paradise is as wide as the heavens and the earth, then where is the Fire?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Tell me, when night covers everything, where does the day go?"The man said, "Allah knows best."The Prophet ﷺ said, "In the same way, Allah does whatever He wills."
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ، فقال: يا محمد، أرأيت جنة عرضها السماوات والأرض فأين النار؟ قال: أرأيت الليل الذي قد ألبس كل شيء فأين جعل النهار؟ قال: الله أعلم، قال: كذلك يفعل الله ما يشاء.

Narrated by Ishaq bin Rahawayh (437), Bazzar (9380), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (103), and Hakim (1/36), all of them through the route of Abdul-Wahid bin Ziyad, who said, Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Asam narrated to us, who said, Yazid bin Asam narrated to us, from Abu Hurairah, who related it.In Musnad Bazzar and Sahih Ibn Hibban it appears as "Ubaydullah bin Abdullah," while in Musnad Ishaq bin Rahawayh and Mustadrak Hakim it appears as "Abdullah bin Abdullah." Both are brothers who narrate from their paternal uncle Yazid bin Asam, and both are truthful narrators (saduq). As for Ibn Hajar, he said of Ubaydullah, "acceptable (maqbul)," but major imams narrated from him, Muslim included his narration in his Sahih, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators. So whichever way the chain turns, it turns on a truthful narrator, making the hadith hasan.Hakim said, "This is a sahih hadith meeting the criteria of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and I know of no defect in it."
