I asked, "Messenger of Allah, what are the vessels of the Pond?"He replied, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, its vessels are more numerous than the stars of the sky and its planets on a dark, clear night. They are the vessels of Paradise. Whoever drinks from them will never thirst again. Two spouts pour into it from Paradise. Whoever drinks from it will never thirst. Its width is the same as its length, the distance from Amman to Aylah. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey."
قلت: يا رسول الله، ما آنية الحوض؟ قال: والذي نفس محمد بيده آنيته أكثر من عدد نجوم السماء وكواكبها، ألا في الليلة المظلمة المصحية، آنية الجنة من شرب منها لم يظمأ آخر ما عليه، يشخب فيه ميزابان من الجنة، من شرب منه لم يظمأ، عرضه مثل طوله ما بين عمان إلى أيلة، ماؤه أشد بياضا من اللبن، وأحلى من العسل.
