He heard the Prophet ﷺ, when his uncle was mentioned in his presence, say, "Perhaps my intercession will benefit him on the Day of Resurrection, so that he will be placed in a shallow part of the Fire reaching to his ankles, from which his brain will boil."
أنه سمع النبي ﷺ وذكر عنده عمه فقال: لعله تنفعه شفاعتي يوم القيامة، فيجعل في ضحضاح من النار يبلغ كعبيه، يغلي منه دماغه.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Virtues (3885), and Muslim in the Book of Faith (210), from the hadith of Layth bin Saad, who said, our teacher Ibn Hadi narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Khabab, from Abu Saeed Khudri, and he related it.His saying, "dahdah," refers to shallow water spread over the surface of the ground reaching up to about the ankles, and the term is used metaphorically here for the Fire.
