I sat with Abdullah bin Umar and Abu Saeed Khudri, and one of them said to his companion, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention that on the Day of Resurrection, sweat will reach the people."One of them said, "Up to his earlobe."The other said, "It will gag him."Ibn Umar drew a line, and Abu Asim pointed with his finger from below his earlobe to his mouth and said, "I see these as one and the same."
جلست إلى عبد الله بن عمر وأبي سعيد الخدري فقال أحدهما لصاحبه: إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يذكر: أنه يبلغ العرق من الناس يوم القيامة فقال أحدهما: إلى شحمته. وقال الآخر: يلجمه. فخط ابن عمر. وأشار أبو عاصم بأصبعه من أسفل شحمة أذنيه إلى فيه، فقال: ما أرى ذاك إلا سواء.
Ahmad (11859), Abu Yaala (5711), and Hakim (4/571) all narrated it through Dahhak bin Makhlad, from Abdul-Hameed bin Jafar, my father narrated to me, from Saeed bin Umayr Ansari, who said, then he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Abdul-Hameed bin Jafar and Saeed bin Umayr, for both of them are hasan al-hadith, and the hadith has a basis.
