The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The encampment of the Muslims on the day of the great battle will be in al-Ghutah, beside a city called Damascus, one of the finest cities of Sham."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: إن فسطاط المسلمين يوم الملحمة بالغوطة إلى جانب مدينة يقال لها دمشق من خير مدائن الشام.
Abu Dawud (4298) and Ahmad (21725) both narrated it via Yahya bin Hamza, from Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid bin Jabir, who said, Zayd bin Artaah told me, I heard Jubayr bin Nufayr narrating from Abu Darda, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Hakim (4/486) also narrated it through another route from Zayd bin Artaah and said, "Sahih chain of transmission."As for his saying "Fustat" with a damma, it refers to the city where people gather together. And his saying "Ghouta" refers to a town near Damascus.
