The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until the buttocks of the women of Daws sway around Dhul-Khalasah."Dhul-Khalasah was the idol of Daws which they used to worship in the days of ignorance.
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا تقوم الساعة حتى تضطرب أليات نساء دوس على ذي الخلصة. وذو الخلصة: طاغية دوس التي كانوا يعبدون في الجاهلية.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Tribulations (7116), and Muslim in the Book of Tribulations and Signs of the Hour (2906), both through the route of Zuhri, who said, Saeed bin Musayab said, Abu Hurairah told me, and then he mentioned it. This wording is Bukhari's, while Muslim's wording adds, "and it was an idol that Daws used to worship in the pre-Islamic era at Tabalah."I say, Tabalah is a place in Yemen. His saying "aliyat" is the plural of aliyah, meaning a person's buttocks, and it is a figurative expression for the return of idol worship and women circling around it. His saying "Dhul-Khalasah" refers to the idol of Daws that they used to worship in the pre-Islamic era. It has also been said that Dhul-Khalasah was a house in Yemen belonging to Khatham and Bajilah, containing an idol that was worshipped, and it was called the Yemeni Kaaba. His saying "the idol of Daws" is a name for every falsehood, and for whatever is worshipped besides Allah.
