The Prophet ﷺ said, "A people will emerge from the direction of the east. They will recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their throats. They will pass through the religion as an arrow passes through its prey, and they will not return to it until the arrow returns to its bowstring."Someone asked, "What is their distinguishing mark?"He replied, "Their mark is shaving the head," or he said, "close-cropping the hair."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Tawhid (7562) from Abu Numan, who said, Mahdi bin Maymun narrated to us, I heard Muhammad bin Sirin narrating from Mabad bin Sirin, from Abu Saeed Khudri, and he mentioned it.His saying, "tasbid," means shaving the head and removing all the hair, or it means leaving off oiling and washing the head.
